Electroimpact Inc. of Mukilteo, WA has openings for Controls
Engineer. We have both entry level and an experienced engineer
positions.
• Knowledge of CNC technology is critical, preferrably
Fanuc.
• Working knowledge of C
• Knowledge of real-time 6 axis matrix manipulation
• Four year college degree in engineering
We are integrating custom machine tools using the Fanuc 30i CNC for
Boeing, Airbus and other aerospace clients. On the PLC side we
prefer the Siemens Step 7 PLC. We also program robotic systems and
write post processors. Experience with machine tools and/or
articulated robots is required. Experience with offline
programming/simulation packages (Delmia, etc.) is desirable. After
gaining experience we are hoping to develop an engineer that can
perform alone in the factory programming, debug and repair of
complex machine tools. A specialty is CNC auto-riveting machines.
These are used for the manufacture of aircraft. Another specialty
is Automatic Fiber Placement machines used for building the latest
generation of composite aircraft.
The company was founded in 1986 by Dr. Peter Zieve as a haven for
engineers that prefer to work for and with other engineers. Our
current staff of controls engineers all have a four year
engineering degree.
